Install and Configure - Hmail email server
Hmail is an open source email server. it is perfect to for web host or to host your own email at home/workplace. You can get Hmail here and ClamWin AV here.
 
Open hmail and follow the install wizard, you can use any database with Hmail. it is highly recommended to use the default MySQL database

 
After you finish install, you will connect to hmail Administrator interface and you will see the warnings about SMTP and pulbic host name

 
You can enter localhost or mail.yourdomain.com as the host name.

 
 
Enable the backup features, chose a folder where the backup will be and what to backup

 
Enable logging for troubleshooting

 
Install ClamWin AV then go to SMTP - AntiVirus, select the option when a virus is found. Note: ClamWin will not be able to scan the file in .exe or archive form like .zip

The auto detect is most likely won't work, you can enter the executable and database by going to ClamWin and the preference setting

 
be sure to tick Use SPF option, check the sender have DNS records and allow empty senders address as sometime legit email will have empty address. The Tarpitting option allow you to set how many count from a same sender until you start to delay the message, this option will allow you to slow down the spammer sending spam to your users.

 
Make sure you enabled the DNS blacklist, 90% of time this feature will block out all know spammer and effectively reduced the amount of spam that your users will get.

 
Now, let's setup a domain and email account, go to welcome and click on add domain

 
Enter the domain name, click save then you can start to add email account, you can also set the max message size

 
Enter the email account, set the password and the administration level

 
 
Auto-reply

 
Create Rule for email forward, Goto Rules tab, click add, enter the name of the rule, click on Add and enter the rule info. in the Criteria message box

 
Click on the Action -> Add button and enter email address that you will like to forward to in the Action message dialog.
